How our towels are made
Al Rahim Towel is a weaving mill in New Karachi. Yarn comes in, finished towels go out, and each stage in between is checked before the next begins.

Photos illustrate each process step.
Eight stages from yarn to carton
Yarn
We buy ring-spun cotton yarn from Pakistani spinners, then weigh and test it before it reaches the looms.
Warping
Ground and pile yarns are wound onto separate beams on our own warping machine. Two beams feed each loom.
Weaving
Terry is woven with plain, dobby and jacquard borders and designs, with the pile height set for the weight of each article.
Dyeing and bleaching
Woven towels go to partner dye houses in Karachi for bleaching and reactive dyeing to the approved shade, then return to our mill.
Shearing
Velour qualities are sheared on our own shearing machine to an even pile height.
Stitching
Towels are cut, hemmed and labelled in our stitching section.
Inspection
Every towel is inspected on a lighted table. Pieces with weaving faults are marked and kept out of the shipment.
Packing
Towels are folded, bagged and packed to your instruction in export cartons.
